Regular meetup

SPACE::TALK

A meetup on space research and engineering, held five times a year on a Thursday evening at SPACE::LAB, Bulharská 2. Interactive talks by leading Slovak experts, with time for networking.

A three-day summer school where students work on real space data with the researchers who produce it — eight editions since 2019, each pairing a space-science question with the computing and machine learning needed to answer it.

Courses at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University

Pavol Bobík teaches space physics at the Faculty of Science in Košice, including Ultra High Energy Particles and Plasma in Space — the physics of the highest-energy particles observed in nature, and the solar wind, magnetospheres and plasma processes throughout the Solar System.

SIREN — Detection and Dosimetry of Cosmic Rays

A free undergraduate course developed by our Lomnický štít team under an ESA PECS project, covering cosmic rays, dosimetry, metrology, shielding and the radiation risks of high-altitude flight. Materials are available to any university free of charge.

SK-S2P_Edu

An ESA PECS project adapting Slovak university curricula toward the Space Safety market, carried out with the Technical University of Košice and Comenius University Bratislava. The findings were published as a conference paper.
